I’m trying to keep positive about Lockdown.
I am a member of a Club in London who have helped devise a personal challenge for me and I just thought why not raise some money for a fabulous cause whilst keeping fit. I have been incredibly lucky with my business during this pandemic and want to put something back into the community…
So what is my challenge … well I have set myself the challenge to run the “equivalent” distance between some of London’s great landmarks and cover a total distance of around 120 km or 74 miles over the next four weeks … finishing by the 2nd December.
There was the option of doing a “virtual” run distance of London to Brighton (90 km or 55 miles) but I thought no … lets “stretch” the challenge further and actually see some of London … I do hope my knees don’t think otherwise.
The 120 km run through the landmarks of London, effectively take me past … the Tower of London to Olympic Park and then through Alexander Palace, Wembley Stadium, Richmond Park, Wimbledon Lawn and Tennis, Greenwich Observatory, Buckingham Palace, Kensington Palace, Regents Park, Big Ben and I’ll finally finish at The Lansdowne Club … and trust me I have already pre ordered my “finishers pint” to be waiting for me at the bar!
So all in all around 120 km or 74 miles in four weeks … quite a challenge for a man of my age but I’m excited about running the miles and getting to see some of these landmarks but most of all keeping positive and fit and putting something back into the community.
If you would like to join me on any stretch of the run please do get in contact.
Thanks for supporting me and donating, it’s very much appreciated.
